Blind Grab
Oct 19, 2026 · A claw machine roguelike. Grab capsules from a real physics pile, and every one opens into a little figure that goes on your shelf and changes the score.
Blind Grab is a claw machine with a roguelike inside it. A 3D cabinet holds a pile of 40 capsules. Move the claw, drop it, and whatever it's holding when it reaches the chute is yours: the capsule falls through the hole in the floor, rolls down a ramp inside the base and comes out of the prize door into the tray. Then it pops open.
Every capsule holds one of twelve ugly-cute figures in four series: the Breakfast Club, the Deep End, the Night
Shift and Garden Variety. The figures go on a shelf of five, and the shelf is your build. Toastie adds 10 points to
every capsule. Yolko doubles the clear ones. Moff makes your last grab in a cabinet count four times. Three of a
series is a set, and doubles everything again. Line up the right shelf and one grab can be worth seventy times a
plain one. Clear capsules show you what's inside, so you can plan a set. The ? ones could be anything, and the
two rares, Admiral Gulp and The Night Manager, only hide in those.
There are three cabinets, each with its own look and quota, and eight grabs to make each quota. A collection book keeps every figure you've ever found.
The claw is meant to be fair. Its grip never changes, and nothing is decided after you drop: the pile and what's in every capsule are fixed before your first grab. There's no ring showing where it will land. You judge it, as at a real machine, by turning the camera round the cabinet. A miss is yours.
It's built with three.js and the Rapier physics engine, run deterministically, so the promo above is the real game replayed, with every grab found by searching the sim. The claw holds a capsule only by contact: three prongs under it and the palm above. Ten figures are built in code and the two rares are Meshy models; the sound is all synthesized.
