Privacy policy
Oct 29, 2026 · What wefav collects when you play, and what it doesn't.
wefav is a small studio making free browser games, run by Jeff Pelton. This page covers wefav.com and every game on it. Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, and we don't sell anything about you.
What we collect
Anonymous visit statistics. We run our own copy of Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, at s.wefav.com. For each visit it records the page, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type and country, and game events such as "started a round" or "finished". It sets no cookies and doesn't store your IP address. It can't tell who you are, and we never combine it with anything that could.
Your email address, only if you give it to us. If you sign up to hear about new games, by typing your email or by choosing "Continue with Google", we store your email address, the page you signed up on and the date. Google shares your name, email address and profile picture when you use it, and we keep all three: the name to greet you in our emails, and the picture (a link to it at Google) in case a future game shows players' pictures. We'll never show your name or picture to anyone without asking first. We use it only to email you about new wefav games, and every email will have an unsubscribe link. We don't sell, rent or share the list with anyone. It's kept in a database at Cloudflare that only we can read.
That's it. There are no user accounts, no advertising or tracking scripts, and no profiles.
What stays on your device
Games save things like your best score, today's daily result and your settings in your browser's local storage. That never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data for wefav.com deletes it.
Online games and voice chat
Some games let you play online with other people, and some have voice chat. In those games your browser connects directly to the other players' browsers. That means the other players' browsers can see your IP address, as with any peer-to-peer connection. Public relay services help the browsers find each other, and for some networks the game traffic passes through a relay run for us by Cloudflare. We don't record or store voice or game chat, and it isn't sent to us. A game asks for your microphone only when you choose to turn voice on, and you can turn it off any time.
Services that see your visit
To load the pages and games, your browser talks to a few services, which see your IP address and browser like any website does:
- Amazon Web Services hosts wefav.com and may keep standard server logs.
- jsDelivr and Google Fonts deliver code libraries and fonts some games use.
- Cloudflare runs the email signup and the relay for online games.
- Google handles "Continue with Google" if you use it.
Children
Our games are made to be fine for all ages, but email signup and online voice chat are for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect an email address from anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe or delete your email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us and we'll delete it.
- Opt out of statistics: a content blocker that blocks s.wefav.com stops it. The games work the same without analytics.
- Questions or requests: send a message to @comster on X.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
