wefav is a small studio making free little games you play in your browser. Every game opens in a second on your phone or computer, with no download, no account and no ads, and most of them take a minute to learn.
Who makes them
wefav is run by Jeff Pelton. The games are built with a lot of help from AI: Claude writes most of the code, and generated 3D models, sound and voices fill in what code can't make. Jeff picks the ideas, plays every build, and decides what ships.
Where the ideas come from
Most games start as "a classic game, but with a twist", something Jeff saw, or an idea from a friend. Whoever an idea came from gets the credit: in the game, and in its write-up.
How a game gets made
- Find the fun. The first build proves the one thing that has to work, like the swipe in Far Shore or the water in Soak.day.
- Play it. It goes up unlisted, Jeff plays it on his phone, and it gets rebuilt from his notes, often several times.
- Ship it. When it's fun, it's listed here with a write-up of how it was made and what we learned, in Behind the games.
- Keep improving it. Published games keep getting updates from what players do and say.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-ups to play.
- No ads, and no tracking cookies. We count visits with our own privacy-friendly analytics (Privacy).
- No nagging: no "come back or lose your streak" messages.
