Pick a monster first. Online: 2 to 4 by invite link, Quick play with strangers, or try it alone with bots.
Couch: two players, split screen, on one computer.
WASD move (you sprint) · mouse aim · click fire · right click steady aim
Space jump · Shift dodge · Q or wheel or 1 2: switch · R retry · Esc pause · M mute
Left thumb moves · right thumb drags to look · FIRE, JUMP, DODGE and AIM under your right thumb
Tap a weapon to switch
Controller: left stick move · right stick aim · RT fire · LT steady aim · A jump, or let go of the Hook · B dodge · Y or a bumper: switch · Start pause
Player one: press Space for keyboard and mouse, or A on a controller. Player two: press A on a controller.
Pick two weapons each: keyboard 1 2 3, controller D-pad left (Lance), up (Thresher), right (Hook).
Start with Enter or Start. Each half draws the monster again, so couch play runs with lighter graphics.
